LARCHMONT LEARNING LAB
Join us as we take a deep dive into the mission and model of award-winning Larchmont Charter School!

LEARNING LAB GENERAL SESSION

    MARCH 6

     8:15am - 2:30pm

     FREE!

 

Participants will be introduced to five key instructional elements of the Larchmont Charter School model:

  • different modalities of instruction

  • real world impact/experiential learning

  • community/positive classroom culture

  • student voice and choice

  • growth mindset

 

Attendees will also choose from a variety of teacher-led breakout sessions that focus on these instructional elements. Following several classroom breakout sessions, attendees will participate in a teacher panel to engage in further discussion with the teachers that presented. The day will end with a time to reflect and debrief, leaving inspired and empowered with resources and new ideas to try in any classroom setting.

 

A continental breakfast and hearty lunch will be provided.

GRADE LEVEL LABS

February 20 - High School Lab (grades 9-12)

February 28 - Early Elementary Lab (TK-2)

March 13 - Elem. / Middle School Lab (3-8)

May 8 - Elementary Lab (grades TK-4)

9:30am - 3:00pm

FREE!

 

In each of these sessions, educators will tour our award-winning grade-specific campus and learn about Larchmont Charter School's model. The focus for these observations will be on our five Instructional Elements:

  • different modalities of instruction

  • real world impact/experiential learning

  • community/positive classroom culture

  • student voice and choice

  • growth mindset

 

Participants will learn about Larchmont’s mission and model and then visit classrooms to observe these key specific instructional elements in practice. Following the classroom visits, attendees will participate in a panel with those LCS teachers whose classrooms were visited, and have an opportunity to ask LCS teachers questions and engage in open discussion. We will end the day with a time to reflect and debrief, leaving inspired and empowered with resources and new ideas to try in any classroom setting.

 

A continental breakfast and hearty lunch will be provided.
