MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear Larchmont at Selma Families,
We hope you are doing well. The end of Quarter 1 is fast approaching! Students are completing all assignments and teachers are furiously grading. Please check Powerschool for your student’s official grade. We encourage students to email teachers with any questions. Although Quarter 1 grades are not final, many teachers have set due dates for when they will stop taking missing work. Please check in with your student to see when these dates are. Teachers are excited to meet with you during Conferences to share student progress. Please see the weekly parent emails from teachers for conference sign ups.
Annual Giving Drive
We need your help now to make a big difference to our school.
We're asking every family to donate to the Annual Giving Drive by 10/31. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and 100% of the funds go directly to help our school keep our small class sizes, our rich program, college counseling, athletics, arts, and much more. Please donate generously and know that no amount is too small. So far we're at 35% participation and we want to see how close we can get to 100% of our community giving whatever they're able - every dollar counts. Strong participation from our families also inspires outside funders to support our school, too. Go to larchmontcharter.org/give.
Thank you for all you do to make Larchmont great!

Staff Update
While we are conducting interviews for the art position, Keaton will be our art substitute teacher. Please see below for a little more information about Keaton. Welcome Keaton!
Keaton has been substitute teaching at Larchmont (primarily at the Selma campus, but also LFP and Fairfax) for about six years now. He has also taught at dozens of other schools in Los Angeles, as well as the bay area, as a substitute for the past eight years, teaching a broad range of subjects, art being one of the primary ones. In college at UC Berkeley he specialized in theater, film, and art, and has worked professionally in the film and music industries for the past ten years, in addition to teaching, which is definitely one of his greatest passions.

Hi all,
I hope you’re doing well. Writing with a few quick requests and some important updates:
