LCS@LFP - Friday, October 2nd
Hispanic Heritage Month is an annual celebration of the history and culture of the US Latino/Latina/Latinx and Hispanic communities. It spans from Tuesday, September 15 to Thursday, October 15, commemorating how those communities have influenced and contributed to American society at large. Celebramos! Check out our LarchmontSchools Instagram posts to see how LFP is celebrating the Hispanic Heritage of our students and staff!
Annual Giving Drive
Our Annual Giving Drive is underway! This fundraiser comprises a large percentage of our overall operating budget and is essential for us to provide the many things that make Larchmont what it is - a school with an incredible reputation throughout greater Los Angeles and your educational home. Despite these trying times, we continue to fulfill our mission by providing a rigorous academic education rooted in constructivist theory where our diverse community of students learn with and from one another. Even in Distance Learning, our visual and performing arts electives are offering expressive outlets to our students during these difficult times. Our physical education classes are getting students up and moving which is more important than ever due to the increased screen time. Our cooking and gardening teachers have our students connecting with the soil in their backyards. And our phenomenally solid core teachers of all subject matters are keeping students grounded and growing in the basics in order to think critically and take action to change our world for the better. Help us to preserve and improve upon all that makes Larchmont the unique educational experience it is even in Distance Learning. We can do this - if we do this together.
Sincerely,
Mike, Lori, and Charlie
