HIGH SCHOOL CLUBS
High School Clubs will begin soon! CLUBCHELLA, our annual club interest festival, is this coming Wednesday, 9/30/20. ALL students are to attend PACK this Wednesday at 9:45AM to browse the various clubs and sign up for one club. If you have any questions, please email robin.power@larchmontcharter.org

Stable internet access is a basic necessity for your student to be successful in this distance learning format. If your family is still struggling with securing stable and consistent internet, please complete this form and we will do what we can to assist you. You can also call the main office if you have any questions about this.

HIGH SCHOOL ESPORTS
Middle School ESPORTS have already begun, and now the High School team is getting underway! Esports is the newest official game that CIF is offering to schools, and it's time to get our team together. PACK PARENTS
Thank you to those of you who have already answered the call and have volunteered to be PACK parents this school year! PACK Parents help with fundraising and communication, parent to parent. With 26 different PACKS, we have several teachers still in need of a dedicated PACK parent. If you are willing to serve in this capacity, please email your student’s PACK teacher to volunteer.

20-21 LFP SITE COUNCIL MEETING
LFP Site Council had their first meeting of the school year just last week. In our meeting, we discussed creating an “Anti-Bias Subcommittee” to provide safe learning environments for ALL students at LFP. Our next meeting is scheduled for October 26th at 4:00 PM.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COUNSELING CENTER (SCCC)
We are continuing our commitment to the whole child through our partnership with SCCC to provide counseling support for students. The program was so popular at our Selma campus last year that there were many students on the waitlist. From our meeting with them this week, we may be ready to start as early as the first week of October.

INNER-CITY ARTS
Inner-City Arts has shared that they have space in two after school classes: Stand-up and Improv Comedy (MS/HS) and Face Mask Fashion (HS) class. The classes are free (for students who qualify for free or reduced lunch) and all supplies are provided.
KIDS MOVIE FEST
Is your student interested in making movies? Kids Movie Fest is an online film festival for young filmmakers ages 13 to 19. They host a new competition every two months, with a new theme assigned to each one. The theme of their current competition is JOY. Entry is FREE! The current submission period began on September 1st and will end on October 15, 2020. To enter, students need to submit a narrative or documentary-style video on the theme JOY no longer than 2 minutes long. The next film festival, with a new theme, will open on November 1st.

If your student’s teacher has asked them to get a hard copy of a textbook or a math workbook, please come to campus to retrieve it at your earliest convenience.
