FROM YOUR SCHOOL LEADER

Hello Larchmont Fairfax Families!
We're going to keep this message short and sweet since you're probably getting ready to go trick or treat....or some modified version of trick or treat this year. :)
How wonderful it was to see so many of our Larchmont students and families at school yesterday for our Halloween Drive-Thru! Though we couldn't interact as much as we would have liked to, seeing the smiles on the kid's faces as they showed off their costumes, posed for photos, perused their goody bags, and waved to each other from car to car was priceless. It was a great reminder of our close knit Larchmont community and hopefully better times to come! Thank you to LOOP (Larchmont Organization of Parents) for sponsoring and organizing this event for our campus.
Please remember that this Wednesday there is NO SCHOOL because it is a big professional development day for all of our TK-12th grade teachers. We are thrilled to have Angela Maiers as our presenter. Ms. Maiers is a world-renowned author, educator, international keynote speaker, and entrepreneur and has been featured in Forbes, TEDx, USA Today, Huffpost, trustED, ABC and NBC News, and NPR.
The PD will focus on how teachers can continue to create remarkable virtual experiences leading to deeper engagement and increased participation with more meaningful conversations and connections.
Our lunch service will take place on Tuesday instead of Wednesday this week since we have no school on Wednesday. Tuesday is also election day, of course!
One final plea about our Annual Giving Drive...If you have yet to donate, we kindly ask for your support for whatever amount is manageable for your family. Everyone who donates before the deadline TONIGHT is entered into a raffle for Apple AirPods (one per campus) and a schoolwide raffle of an iPad! We thank you in advance for all that you do for our school!
