FROM YOUR SCHOOL LEADER

Hello Larchmont Fairfax Families:
Twice each year during our conference weeks, Larchmont sends out parent, staff and student satisfaction surveys. It is time for our first Parent Satisfaction Survey of the year. Teachers will be administering students surveys in their classes or on Seesaw.
Please take just a couple of minutes to fill out the Parent Satisfaction Survey (see links below)! In previous years, Larchmont Fairfax has had the HIGHEST response rate of all campuses on the survey, and we'd like to continue that trend this time around, too! This data is important to us as a school to help us know what areas we're doing well in and what our areas for growth are. Please use the comment section to let us know BOTH what you love and what you'd like to see grow. The Principal, Executive Director, Board and Site Council review this data closely.
Over the years we've made note of the things you've said that you love and we've made sure to continue those elements and grow them whenever possible. We've also made many additions and adjustments based on survey results. A few examples include the purchase of more chromebooks, a new art studio for Jamia, additions to our diversity curriculum, a new communication platform in Wix, the addition of cameras for campus security, a new facilities tracker document to keep up with site issues, more frequent classroom newsletters to make sure you're staying apprised of classroom news, and much more. We appreciate your input and we look forward to sharing the results with you soon! Parent (English): https://larchmontcharter.wufoo.com/forms/x12r4f0d1xm0jix/

Finally, we're asking every family to donate to the Annual Giving Drive by 10/31- this is our biggest fundraiser of the year and 100% of the funds go directly to help our school keep our small class sizes, our rich program, college counseling, athletics, arts, and much more. Fairfax is now up to 50% of our campus donating!!!!!! Please donate generously and know that no amount is too small. http://www.larchmontcharter.org/give
Have a wonderful weekend, and please be sure to read below for more updates.
All the best,
Andi and Mersedeh

FAIRFAX ATTENDANCE REMINDERS

Teachers will be taking attendance every day in their live Zoom classes. On Wednesdays, the completed independent work will indicate that your child is present asynchronously and your child will be marked present accordingly. If your child is going to be absent (both synchronously and asynchronously) for any reason, please email your teacher and ffxattendance@larchmontcharter.org.
To receive credit for attending asynchronously (not live/zoom) students/parents must both:
Log into Seesaw or view the teacher's assignments via their websites to access and complete assignments AND
Complete the Distance Learning Attendance Certification Form.
Please notify your teacher & email ffxattendance@larchmontcharter.org when you know your student cannot attend synchronously or asynchronously.
Questions about attendance? Email our office manager, Tess, at maritess.trillo@larchmontcharter.org.
