2nd Grade Math Warm Up!

Reminder that Monday (9/28) is a non-school day at Larchmont Charter School. School will resume on Tuesday, September 29th!

Dear Hollygrove Families:

As we wrap up another week of distance learning, it's hard to believe that we have just completed our 5th week of school. We are impressed again with how well our young students are managing online classes and taking personal responsibility for their own learning. Though this situation remains challenging for all, we are certain that our community will come out of this period with a whole host of new skills that will transfer well to our traditional brick and mortar setting.

We held our first Diversity & Inclusion Council meeting on Thursday afternoon. Thank you to all parent volunteers who participated in our inaugural meeting. As a group, we started with introductions followed by a traditional Council share session. Though typically what happens in Council stays in Council, we do want to share some of the broad themes that emerged from our brief time together. We heard Hollygrove parent and teacher specific stories/shares regarding feelings of inclusion and exclusion, belonging, and confronting the realization of "otherness" from either personal experience or through the eyes of our children. As we took just one hour of time to share and listen to one another, both the intersectionality and uniqueness of our community so clearly emerged. Though in the early stages of development, we are excited to launch and grow Hollygrove's Diversity & Inclusion committee. We will continue to update the community regarding this new group and our corresponding goals.

Finally, our Annual Giving Drive continues on and it's our one and only fundraiser this year. It’s time for Larchmont to go All In! We are looking for 100% participation at Hollygrove and we can achieve this goal by every family giving meaningfully, however big or small. Please join us in making your contribution this weekend.
