Hello Hollygrove Families,

We hope Saturday is off to a great start for you! We're one week away from our Thanksgiving break and our students (and their parents) are doing a great job persevering through distance learning. We know everyone is looking forward to the upcoming week off line!

Throughout October, all families, staff members, and students (in grades 2-4) had an opportunity to complete the first School Satisfaction Survey for the 2020/21 school year. We want to take some time in this week's post to share some of the survey findings that came from our parents. We'll also look more deeply at these results at Thursday's Site Council meeting.

We're appreciative of the time and effort that so many of you put towards completing this survey. We are happy to share that the results of the Fall survey for the Larchmont Hollygrove campus are very strong. One highlight to note-- 99% of our families would recommend Hollygrove to others!

General parent satisfaction numbers in the following categories for 2020/21 were as follows:

  • Overall satisfaction: 95%

  • Academic environment: 91%

  • Communication: 98%

  • Environment: 90%

  • Mission: 96%

  • Recommendation: 99%

  • Respect: 98%

  • Satisfaction w/People (teachers, leaders, staff): 96%

  • Student Engagement: 90%

Next week, in Site Council, with both parents and teachers, we will take more time to process these findings along with the corresponding comments. Though there is much to celebrate, we look forward to reflecting as a community to determine how we can continue to grow and support our teachers, students and families through this challenging time. Please keep an eye out for notes that come out of the upcoming Site Council meeting.

Finally, please be sure to review Friday afternoon's email about our annual Thanksgiving Bag Drive that supports Uplift Family Services. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your room parent or to Eleanor Hong directly at eleanorehong@hotmail.com

Have a wonderful weekend!
