Cool Tools Motto: "It's not cool to be cruel." The school year is underway and Cool Tools has begun in your child’s classroom. Each class room is stocked with a Cool Tools toolbox filled with inflatable toys, kaleidoscopes, mazes, ice cube trays, toothpaste tubes and a "BIG Mistake" eraser serves as the core learning component for Cool Tools, an innovative conflict resolution system developed at UES. Cool Tools is our new conflict resolution program. It is based on the idea of “cognitive reframing” in which key words or colors are used to elicit new responses to given actions. The goal of Cool Tools is to teach students to create internal resiliency and self-managing behaviors in the face of conflict. Come to Town Hall in October to learn more!!
