I am a Southern California native, born and raised in the Long Beach area. Both of my parents were teachers, so it was a natural choice for me to become a teacher myself. I have many interests and hobbies. I particularly enjoy travel, languages, cultures and have had the opportunity to visit countries throughout the Americas and Europe. I also enjoy fitness and participating in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle including hiking, swimming, tennis, yoga, as well as cooking and trying new cuisine (mostly healthy, but not always).

Where did you go to school and what was your major?
California State University Long Beach - Psychology

What is your highest degree held?
Master of Education

Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
I wanted to become a teacher because I had so many great elementary school teachers that made a lasting impression on me. I hope to do the same by building confidence, teaching skills, and engendering a love of learning in the students I teach.

How long have you been teaching/working in education?
12 years

What is your favorite thing about LCS?
My favorite aspect of teaching at LCS is the focus our organization places on ecoliteracy; taught in a constructivist manner, as well as the culture of collaboration and cooperation established between staff, parents, and students.

What was your favorite book when you were the age of your students?
Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
