I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I did my undergrad at UCSD where I received a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and then I went to UCLA for grad school where I received my master’s degree in education. GO BRUINS! I have been a part of the Larchmont community for 5 years and this will be my 6th year as a K/1 teacher. On my free time, I love running, doing anything that involves the ocean, yoga, going to concerts, traveling, going to DISNEYLAND, and spending time with my family and friends.

Where did you go to school and what was your major?
UCSD, B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Education Studies
UCLA, M.Ed (Masters in Education)

What is your highest degree held?

Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
In undergrad I majored in Political Science and while learning about educational policies I very quickly learned of all the inequities that these policies created, so along with my Major in Political Science, I minored in Education Studies where I learned that I could inspire the greatest change through becoming a teacher.

How long have you been teaching/working in education?
I have been working in the field of education for 9 years. I am going into my 7th year at Larchmont and this will be my 5th year as a lead teacher at LCS.

What is your favorite thing about LCS?
The sense of community and no one ever goes without simply because the teachers, the students, the admin, and the families will always rally around to make sure that everyone is taken care of.

What was your favorite book when you were the age of your students?
The Moon Lady- Amy Tan
