I’m from a military family, so I’ve lived all around the country. My first job was in publishing, and I began teaching eight years ago. I live in West Hollywood with not enough bookshelf space. I know French well, and am working on improving my Portuguese and Scots Gaelic. I have advanced first aid training and am a certified Red Cross instructor. I sing recreationally in two choruses, GMCLA and Jouyssance, and professionally in a church choir in Pasadena.

Where did you go to school and what was your major?
I went to Whitworth College, a small liberal arts college in Spokane, Washington. I had a triple major in mathematics, French, and philosophy.

What is your highest degree held?
B.S. in Mathematics.

Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
I love working with kids.

How long have you been teaching/working in education?
This will be my ninth year as a teacher.

What is your favorite thing about LCS?
I love the positive energy among both the students and staff.

What was your favorite book when you were the age of your students?
Dante’s Divine Comedy. The best teacher I ever had, my Honors English teacher, let me teach our two-week unit on Dante because he knew it was my favorite book at the time.
