Malcolm Moore is a drummer, singer, songwriter, educator, & drum circle facilitator who lives and works in Hollywood, CA. Born in Rochester, NY. Moved to California in 2013 with his wife and two sons. Studied Human Development and Psychology at Empire State College. Participated in relief and development work in Israel, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Ordained minister with theological degrees, too. In addition to music, interests include art, film, puppets, and acupuncture.

Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
My eldest son (now 21) struggled as a child with ADHD & ODD. My experience with him lead me to want help other children and parents with special needs. After many years of working in mental health, teaching drums privately, and working as a drum circle facilitator, the teaching opportunity materialized and it was the perfect combination of my skills in an environment which provided continual inspiration.
How long have you been teaching/working in education?
My combined experience as an ordained minister, mental health worker, relief and development worker, educational teacher and as a behaviorist adds up to roughly 20 years.
What is your favorite thing about LCS?
My favorite thing about working at LCS is the tremendously supportive atmosphere of open-minded and compassionate students, staff, and parents. It inspires me to get up every morning to experience and provide mutual positivity, resilience, hope and grace.
