Connect to Classroom

Maja has worked with children on many levels. Having a brother on the autism spectrum has given Maja an understanding of how powerful communication is for ALL children. While Maja was taking early education college courses, she was also taking improvisation (improv) classes at The Second City Hollywood and saw a strong connection between the two. This realization was the kickoff point for Zip Zap Zop Enrichment, the non-profit Maja founded, Zip Zap Zop's mission is to support social skills through improv. Maja saw improv as the missing link for children with autism at first, but this concept grew to include all children and all ages. Maja is the co-writer of The Brain’s Playground: Using Improv Games To Teach Social and Emotional Learning.
