I was born in Upstate New York, but moved to L.A. where I now live on a farm near Burbank with my partner David, my step-son Jesse, my son Odin and a large family of animals. My hobbies include teaching biomechanical equitation, life drawing for the natural sciences, creative writing, singing and playing guitar, and cooking. My favorite subjects when I was a student were history, creative arts and literature, and I love helping my students make connections to the world through the study of writing, the arts and how these affect human history now and in the past.
