I love being on a team and working hard and using my creativity to make my lessons interesting. My husband is a musician and I love watching him play on stage! I love food and art.

Where did you go to school and what was your major?
CSU, Fullerton (BA American Studies, English Emphasis, Credential) I loved taking classes on American culture like Film Music, Hollywood, Foodways, Childhood, and Sexual Orientation in America. I love school and am always planning to go back to study more and different things!

What is your highest degree held?
BA and Credential

Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
I want to spend my time and energy doing something good in this world… I see education as a way to bring equality and empathy to all. And I love teaching!

How long have you been teaching/working in education?
This will be my first year as a full-time teacher. I did one year of student teaching (U.S. History and Government/Econ) and one year of subbing K-12.

What is your favorite thing about LCS?
The teamwork and welcoming atmosphere is amazing here. I love that I will get to try new things and make mistakes and learn from them as we ask our students to do.

What was your favorite book when you were the age of your students?
I did not enjoy reading until High School when Harry Potter was published… I read through the first 3 in 10 days and couldn’t wait for more. From there I learned to love reading and stories (Vonnegut, Salinger, and Grafton are favorites now).
