I live in West Hollywood with my tiny dog, Peanut. I love art, crafts, movies & television. My niece, Olivia, is 11 years old and my nephew, Alessandro is 17.
Where did you go to school and what was your major?
I went to Northern Illinois University where I graduated with honors and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a major in Marketing and a minor in Art History.
What is your highest degree held?
I received my Masters Degree from Alliant International University to become and Education Specialist.
Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
I became an educator because I realized that I had a special connection with children, and spending time with them brought me a level of joy I had not experienced before!
How long have you been teaching/working in education?
Last year (2017-2018), I worked as a Resource Specialist Intern at LCS Hollygrove campus. I now work as the Resource Specialist for the Fairfax campus.
What is your favorite thing about LCS?
My favorite things about LCS are the people I work with and the positive, research-driven approach utilized by the Special Education Department.
What was your favorite book when you were the age of your students?
I loved the Frances the Bear books. My mother, who was a first-grade and preschool teacher all her life, started reading those books to me at a very early age.
