Our Annual Jog-a-thon
Mark your calendars for Friday, February 25th and get in stride with the 3rd annual LCS Jog-A-Thon! Now is the time to sign-up friends, parents, grandparents, neighbors, parents, co-workers and supporters for either a dollar amount per lap or a flat fee for completing the jog-a-thon (i.e. $10, $20, $30, etc.). Please let sponsors know they will be supporting fitness and our terrific school! Every student has been provided with a sponsorship sheet and envelope before Winter Break outlining the details of the event. Copies of the sponsorship are below. If a parent would like to volunteer, please email tomn111@yahoo.com for info.

More About Our events
At Larchmont Charter School, our community is comprised of families of all kinds and we come together to celebrate our community through a variety of different events and meetings. Our school events support families in being able to provide the kind of warmth, wisdom, and resources that help them nurture their children. In addition to creating the kind of school in which everyone feels welcome, there are several community-building events that are part of LCS, here are just a few:
- Weekly Morning Sing! Parents and other family members are invited and encouraged to sit with us and join in the festivities
- Our annual World Fair shows the cultural diversity and creativity of our community where students “visit” over 30 different countries sampling foods and crafts from nations around the world
- Monthly Town Hall meetings where families are encouraged to attend and learn about curriculum, upcoming events, parenting tips, and share opinions about school decisions.
- Garage-a-rama is our annual on-campus Garage Sale where our families and local community donate goods and shop for bargains
- Parent conferences occur twice yearly and give parents and students an opportunity to discuss the students’ goals and progress.
