IT’S TIME FOR OUR ANNUAL JOG-A-THON
We are very excited about our recent 2010 Jog-a-thon. For those of you looking for our Online Sponsorship Information, keep reading! ( and if you want to learn more about some of our other events, that information is further below) The Jog-A-Thon, held on January 29, is one of the most exciting and important annual fundraising events benefiting LCS.
With the click of a button, you can securely donate a flat dollar amount to sponsor any LCS student in the Jog-A-Thon. Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover are all accepted.
Please Note: It is important that when sponsoring a student on the next page, you specify the student name, grade, and LCS site attended under the miscellaneous details. Thank you in advance for your donation.
More About Our events
At Larchmont Charter School, our community is comprised of families of all kinds and we come together to celebrate our community through a variety of different events and meetings. Our school events support families in being able to provide the kind of warmth, wisdom, and resources that help them nurture their children. In addition to creating the kind of school in which everyone feels welcome, there are several community-building events that are part of LCS, here are just a few:
- Weekly Morning Sing! Parents and other family members are invited and encouraged to sit with us and join in the festivities
- Our annual World Fair shows the cultural diversity and creativity of our community where students “visit” over 30 different countries sampling foods and crafts from nations around the world
- Monthly Town Hall meetings where families are encouraged to attend and learn about curriculum, upcoming events, parenting tips, and share opinions about school decisions.
- Garage-a-rama is our annual on-campus Garage Sale where our families and local community donate goods and shop for bargains
- Parent conferences occur twice yearly and give parents and students an opportunity to discuss the students’ goals and progress.
