Hi! My name is Esmeralda Robles Garcia (Ms. Esme). I was born in East Los Angeles but lived most of my life in Gardena. After graduating high school I moved to Carlisle Pennsylvania where I did most of my growing. After graduating I decided to come back and explore the education field. I volunteered and worked at different schools, such as Clinton MIddle School, Normandie Avenue Elementary, WISH Charter and the Environmental Charter Schools. Now I am here and ready to start something new. I also love chocolate and mushrooms.

Where did you go to school and what was your major?
I went to Dickinson College in Carlisle Pennsylvania for my undergrad and majored in Religion. Then I did my Masters at Loyola Marymount University in Counseling with a PPSC.

What is your highest degree held?
Master Degree

Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
I was inspired by our 7-12 Principal, Mandy Breuer, who was my counselor in high school. She is such an amazing and understanding human being who pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and explore. Now I wish to support others in there own explorations.

How long have you been teaching/working in education?
Five years in different areas, after school programs, educational non-profit, teaching, Sped Ed, and now counseling.

What is your favorite thing about LCS?
The teacher's lounge!
