LFP Lead Teacher
I’m a California transplant, having grown up in Panama City, Florida. I moved to Los Angeles in 2005 to be nearer to my wife, Jennifer, who I was dating at the time. We reside in Duarte, CA with our Jack Russell/Poodle mix Harriet and our newborn daughter Maggie. (Expected arrival 9/16)
When I’m not teaching you’ll find me gardening, playing in a punk rock band, or cheering on my beloved Florida State Seminoles.

What is your highest degree held?
Master’s Degree in Theology/Religion
Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
I believe in empowering students to be active participants in a democratic society so that they may use their education in the service of others. I love working with teenagers because I believe they will be the ones who will change the world.
How long have you been teaching/working in education?
I have been working with high school students in various capacities for the last eight years, and I have three years of experience as a full-time ELA teacher.
What is your favorite thing about LCS?
I love the diversity of the Larchmont faculty and students as well as the small school community vibe.
What was your favorite book when you were the age of your students?
Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy
