I was born and raised in the Philippines. I migrated to the United States in 2007. I have two energetic boys, Francis, who is in 3rd grade at LCS – Hollygrove and Paolo, 3 years old, who started preschool last summer. My husband and I are expecting to have our baby girl in January, which is really exciting! My family loves to travel and experience different cultures. Last year we have visited Korea and Japan. We’re looking forward to see Europe this year!

Why did you want to be a teacher/work in education?
I have become a teacher because I value education and view education as the key to open the door to numerous opportunities in life. I feel that it is part of my responsibility to impart this value for education with my students. By sharing this strong belief that learning is an ongoing and a never-ending process, I hope that my students will discover the value of learning for learning sake and not just for the external reward of a grade.
How long have you been teaching/working in education?
What is your favorite thing about LCS?
My favorite thing about LCS is the diversity of our community and our continued focus on equity and inclusion in our community.
What was your favorite book when you were the age of your students?
Outdoor play was the focus of my growing up years, and so I don’t have a memory of my favorite book in my elementary years.
